For The Overthinker Who Needs To Hear This…

Earlier today, I had a heated argument with a certain family member. I’m not going to get into the details of it (I hate arguing even if I know I’m right, and because even then I know I can never be proud of it), but shortly after, I decided to just let the “I’m-a-Eucharistic-Jesus-centered-Marian-and-Virgo-Pater-devotee-so-I’m-supposed-to-take-the-high-road” version of me take the driver seat. So I chose to let it go (thank God for His grace to actually learn this skill haha ), and made the first move to make amends, with some precious gift-giving, if I may add. Haha (again, I thank God for the grace to do this).

Now…I don’t know about you. But sometimes things just tend to linger quite a bit longer for women. The insults, the blaming, the below-the-belt remarks, the gaslighting…all the unkindness that was thrown at you–and vice versa–lingers. In one part of your brain you’re thinking, “I forgot to make that point,” while in another, “maybe I should have just kept quiet.” And yet in another, “my gosh, have I lost my State of Grace? Ohh noo, I need to go to confession.” And I’m sure a lot women agree with me on this. And there’s also the malevolent enemy–the Father of Lies–who just piggybacks on your hurts and makes things seem so much heavier than it is.

But thankfully, I stumbled upon this old-age adage online that made me feel a whole lot better–in an instant! It was just what I needed!

It was consolation amidst desolation…

Clarity in confusion…

A certain kind peace that enveloped the chaos…

It was, again, simply…Grace.

“You know what, you’re right…that’s right…what the heck!!! yeah…I got no time for this! There are better things to do! Duh…”

And it’s reassuring to know that God’s grace meets us when we need it the most. So again, thank You, LORD.

Oh, wait…I forgot to tell you what the phrase was. Haha.

Okay…enough with the cliffhanger. Here it is:

“Life is too short. Enjoy.”

And I do hope that anyone who reads this will just…ENJOY!

Quit sabotaging yourself…

Stop dwelling on what’s wrong…

Shut the enemy out…

Because the truth is, God loves you. He died for you. He rose for you. And whether you believe this or not, He wants you to be happy not only in the next life with Him in Heaven, but also here, right now, in this life, right at this very time, and in this very moment.

So…let’s be happy! Let’s enjoy living! Happy 2026!!!

Jeremiah 29:11 declares, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
